The Monselice rock climbing area is located in an old 'cave' quarry near the town of Monselice in the Province of Padova. There one sector and the wall has around 47 routes ranging from 5c to 7c, but most of the climbs are 6a/b. There is no chance to climb when it rains and even a day or two after it can be wet on the wall and the trail leading up to the area. This is not a destination site but if you happen to be in the area it could be a nice break for a few hours.
Located in the Euganei Hills south of Padova the area can be reached by train or regional bus. The town of Monselice is an interesting visit as well as the surrounding hills. Read more about the Euganei Hills and Padua province.
Please remember to respect the area and buy a local guide book.
