Castegnero is located in the Berici hills just south of the Lumignano Climbing Area. This site was developed about 10 years ago and still growing slowly. The rock quality is good even though the cliff is not very tall. There are plenty of good routes to work on at the moment, with newer routes being developed. The limestone is a reddish quality not the grey you find throughout other Colli Berici sites. Castegnero is a great place for a change of pace that is very quite on the week days, with plenty of routes for all levels.
