Valdagno | Vicenza Province

Communita di Valdagno

Valdagno is the Vicenza province's fourth most populated town and one of the hubs of the local economy. The old part of the town located on one side of the river, retains its old Venetian character. On the other side of the river the so called “social town” is in 19 th century art nouveau style. The Marzotto textile mills have been the driving force of the economy in recent times.

A walk through this attractive town with its old-world feel also reveals the Carlotto distillery, famed for its rosolio liqueur. (Since 1919, rosolio, zabaglione, Amaro ‘900, Fior d’Agn, cordial, coffee and china liqueurs, grappa, cherry brandy, Biancorosso aperitifs etc. the via Mastini shop is closed Sundays and Wednesday afternoons, the historic via Garibaldi shop closes Sundays only.)

The town is also well known for its textile industry.
