TORREBELVICINO, VICENZA PROVINCE

The name of the town is a reminder of the fortified tower that controlled access to the valley along the track toward Pasubio. With the end of mining in the area the town, together with the neighbouring village of Pievbelbiccino, was inevitably drawn to the Schio textile industry. The town host the Zamberlan factory that specialises in high quality hiking boots and other leisure-time leather footwear.

A short train ride to Schio and then walk to reach Torrebevinco.  There are some great hikes in the hills surrounding the area and a classic rock climbing site.  The Zamberlan factory has a nice retail store.
