
The last township in the val Chiampo and well known for its gastronomic speciality: snails or “congnoi” as they are called locally. This tradition of snail cultivation is the result of the fresh, green surroundings of the area and the Teutonic ancestry of the population. There is a market held in early December, but the mollus are always available in season, also the area is know for its black truffles.
