Communita di Malo

MALO, VICENZA PROVINCE

The history of this town can be traced back an ancient settlement called the “Venetian’s Route”. The area was well known in Roman time for its brick and terracotta production. One of the most interesting church buildings is the sancturary of Santa Libera, which retains its 7 th century Greek cross plan.

The town has two museums dedicated to local working life; the Silk-weaving and the Brick-making Museum, located in Plazzo Corielli, and the Museum of Vicentine Rural Life located at the Cantina val Leogra, there is also a nice modern art gallery.

Each year Malo holds a Carnival parade and features some of the regions most allegorical floats. On the third Sunday of each month a large market of second-hand goods and antiques.
