Hiking in Colli Berici

Throughout the Colli Berici there are one day hikes to enjoy, in the early mornings or late evening during the hotter summer days, or mid day during the early spring and late fall.· The zone is bidding to become a natural park like the nearby Eugeani Hills so that over building will not disrupt a forgotten zone in the Berici.· The hills have always protected the populas throughout history and some zones are more hospitable then others in terms of accessability.· Many parts of the hills are owned by the old arosticatic families and there has been not interest in development.· Other area's are not being developed due to the travel time to get to main hubs of business.Hiking is through the wine zones, olive groves and around caves and rock formations that many of the local Palladio villas were built from. There are plenty of places to stop and rest and several historcial surprises to be found.
