Venezia
Listed among Unesco's Heritage of Mankind, Venice and the Lagoon does not need any further introduction. Just a outside, the wonderful confusion that is Venezia, is a province that holds multipule hidden treasure and must see sights. Towards the interior of the Venetian territory you find the so called "Lands of the Tiepolo", the "Brenta Riviera", sea side resorts of Jesolo, Bibone, Cavallino, wet land parks and delta's, Roman settlements, and a the historical footprint of an empire the ruled the area for 1000 years the Serenissima' Venetian Republic.

Just by looking on a map you can see that the Venezia Province is completely flat. The lagoon and much of the surrounding area is a delta formed by the Brenta, Piave, Livenza, and Tagliamento.·Venezia is about 2,459 sq. kms in size and has 43 individuals communi, and is the Captial of the province is Venezia.·
Visiting Venice is a must on every one's Italian list, however the timing of your visit, how well prepared you are for the experience and your expectations will make you go away loving the mystery and special energy coming from the city, or disappointed because you thought it would have more of an Disney park appearance being neat, orderly, and structured fun, or disgusted and not ever wanting to return or even think about. The information I provide is not a rewrite of all the Italian guidebooks, I am giving you some tools and information that will hopefully help you during your travel.

Staying in Venice can be very expensive and I feel most places are over-priced. You can reduce your cost and have just as nice of an experience if you stay outside the city and on the main-land.
