Located in the foothills of the Asiago Altopiano, Lugo di Vicenza sits in a lovely position over looking the Astico river valley. The main attraction in Lugo di Vicenza are the two villas by Andrea Palladio, built next to one another by two aristocratic patrons, each determined to outshine the other. The best preserved is villa Godi Malinverni, which houses a museum and an art galley. Across the road is the elegant entrance to villa Piovene Porto Godi, set in a romantic garden.
