Passo Stelvio
Legendary Climbs
The Stelvio Pass is one of the highest in Europe and is one of the best bike rides in the mountains of Italy. The climb has plenty of cycling history history and is one of the top climbs to do on every Italian riders checklist. The climb is not the steepest in grade but the distance and elevation creates a challenging environment that will tax the body and the mind.

At the top of the pass there is the tribute to Fasusto Coppi and a change to refuel, grab a photo, and a Cima Coppi bike jersey. Seeing the bike jerseys on this pass gives you an idea of its importance to bicyclist. Each year the road is blocked to traffic for a day so that bike riders, walkers, and varied other means of human powered transport can enjoy the road. The only problem is that now the event has become so popular that it is a mass of people and very difficult to ride.
