This town, just east of the main road between Vicenza and Thiene. The land in the area is a broad plain with several fresh water springs and has been favoured as farmland. Today the area is starting to boom in growth as urban expansion from Vicenza. The small farm towns that were once in the area are now a continue string of sub divisions, and it seems to still be growing.
Things to see in the main town are the Caldogno-Nordera villa, built in 1570 by Andrea Palladio and frescoed by Veronese. The ancient water mill and its fully-functioning machinery (now a restaurant), sits near the Ciaroni springs. Just this year the continua channelling of the local rivers has resulted in the return of ancient flooding.
