Dolomiti
The Dolomiti Mountians have been described as the strangest, most beautiful, and most fascinating mountains in the world. Their rocks, which have eroded over the years, have been formed into vertical walls and towers that shape the landscape, it is a wonderful arena for mountaineers and roads in the mountians offer great bike routes over classic routes. Color of the rocks gives the Dolomiti their beauty; at dawn they seem gold, at dusk pink and violet before they turn to a pearl, almost ashen, grey.
The Dolomiti Mountains are divided into the following mountain groups: Cima d'Astat and teh Logorai - Monti di Feltre - Latermar - Pale dei San Martino - Dolomiti di Zoldo - Catinaccio - Marmolada - Sassolungo - Sella - Olde - Tofane - Cristallo - Antelao Sorapis - Putia - Croda Rossa and Sesto, - and on the western side of the Adige Valley is the Brenta Group.
